Working From Photos.
I produce cartoon likenesses (not photo-realistic illustration or caricatured exagerated features). Please hover over the 'Before and After' examples on the right to get a rough idea of how I turn photo images into cartoon likenesses. Best photos to send are as above - slightly side-on and a good image of the person. (not taken in the sun, not wearing a cap, not too far away and if possible, not face-on).
Theme to the cartoon.
I work principally from your ideas. Many customers have a basic idea of what they want but if you don't, I can help - Let's say you want to give a humourous cartoon to a good friend changing his career. What can be included within the cartoon? Well, how about funny events during time in the old job, Catchphrases, Work habits, Work dodges, Include personal features - Hair style, Hobbies, 'Pride and Joy' items, Clothing.
You see, just a few ideas and there's plenty of scope for fun elements to be included within the artwork.
Commissioning the job.
Just contact me by email. Here's what I need to know from you:
What Date do you require the finished work?
Do you want a Black & White or Colour cartoon?
Do you need a specific Size of cartoon?
Importantly, I'll need your Daytime Contact details and Address for the invoice and final artwork to be sent. (Sorry, I don't quote to anonymous emailers).
What happens next?.
I produce a sketch from the ideas agreed and send it to you by email, for your approval. If you need to make any changes to the sketch, no problem! When you are happy to move onto the final image, I will then produce the watercolour cartoon artwork.
